How DongMei Came to Be
DongMei was founded in Taichung's South District with a straightforward idea: that a makeup session should feel like a personal conversation, not a transaction at a studio counter. Many clients — whether preparing for a significant work day, celebrating with friends on a rooftop terrace, or sitting for newborn photographs — found the studio experience rushed and impersonal.
By bringing the service to the client's location, something changed. The environment became familiar. The pace became the client's own. The result, consistently, was a look that felt genuinely like them — because it had been created in a space where they felt comfortable and heard.
DongMei continues to operate with that same intention: arrive with care, listen well, and leave knowing the person feels ready for whatever is ahead.

Sanitation & Hygiene
Single-use applicators, disposable wands, and brush sanitation between every client. Products are stored and handled under appropriate conditions at all times.

For Motherhood Documentation sessions, we carry a separate kit of fragrance-free, dermatologist-tested products — reviewed for suitability around newborns and sensitive skin.

Client Privacy
No photography of clients is shared without written permission. Appointment details and personal information are handled discreetly and with appropriate care.

South District, Xitun, Nantun, North District — each neighbourhood has its own rhythm, and our artists adapt naturally to working within varied environments. We've assisted clients in apartments, houses, hotel rooms before conferences, and outdoor locations during golden hour.
Our three services — Pre-Meeting Polish, Rooftop Party Look, and Motherhood Documentation — were developed through a genuine understanding of what Taichung clients were asking for.
